HIKING TO THE LAND OF FLOWERS- ZINACANTÁN- MAGICAL TOWN

Join us in this incredible experience, get to know this indigenous town located in the upper Chiapas area in a totally different way , it will be your effort that will lead you to conquer the mountain to discover the magic of this community: the land of flowers, the churches, the typical costumes, the culture and tradition.

We will make our 12 km uphill route within the Huitepec reserve, an inactive volcano that is now a protected natural area of ​​135 hectares, which preserves one of the most diverse ecosystems: the cloud forest and the tropical temperate forest, housing more than 300 species of plants, numerous species of fungi and more than 150 vertebrate animals representing a third of the biological diversity of Los Altos de Chiapas.

It will be a demanding route but the views and landscapes will be totally worth it.

Upon arriving at the community of Zinacantán, we will visit the main church to learn about its religion and customs, and then go to the house of a great local artisan, who will explain to us the process of making the typical clothing used by its residents. We will end our visit with a delicious local meal with handmade tortillas, with ingredients and flavors from the typical cuisine of Zinacantán.
